Skysource’s David Hertz is honored to be selected as the winner of “Social Entrepreneurship” category of The 2018 World Technology Award! The WTN is a curated membership community comprised of the world's most innovative individuals and organizations in science, technology, and related fields. The WTN and its members – those creating the 21st century – are focused on exploring what is imminent, possible, and important in and around emerging technologies. VISIONEERING 2019

On the first weekend of October WEDEW traveled to the Paramount Studios in West Hollywood to supply fresh water from air to the 500 attendees and the entire 2019 XPRIZE Visioneering event.

David and Laura joined the founder of XPRIZE Peter Diamandis on the stage to discuss their road to victory during the Water Abundance XPRIZE and their shared vision of a sustainable future utilizing democratized resources.

Congrats to Pharrell Williams for creating the winning XPRIZE concept for building charter communities housing. You can read more about the concept that proposed to create transformational public housing alternatives that will provide a self-sustaining life beyond subsidized housing on XPRIZE’s website.

Laura-Doss Hertz at SALT 2019

Skysource’s Laura Doss-Hertz will be joining a panel discussion “Incentivized Innovation: Crowdsourcing Solutions to the World's Grand Challenges” moderated by XPRIZE’s CEO Anousheh Ansari at SALT 2019 in Las Vegas on May 8th. Tickets are still available from the website.

“Resiliency IN A BOX is a mural covered repurposed shipping container housing equipment producing a renewable, sustainable source of potable water, soil enhancements and clean energy on a daily basis. Our project provides opportunities for STEAM education and a canvas for public art. In the Community Healing Gardens' Tech Garden at LAUSD Markham Middle School in Watts, it will improve food production plus be an off-the-grid, vital resource for the entire neighborhood when a disaster strikes.”
